An interior-only detail ($150–$250) makes sense when the outside is in reasonable shape or was recently done. A full detail ($250–$425 depending on size and condition) bundles the interior with an exterior hand wash, clay bar or gloss treatment, tire shine, and window cleaning outside — and runs the exterior through the same care. If both sides need attention, the full detail is almost always the better value per hour of work.
